शांति

Shanti (Pali: Santi) simply means "peace". It’s a beautiful meaning and also a very beautiful sound. The shanti is repeated three times, as are many chants in Buddhism. In Buddhism as well as in Hinduism the threefold Shanti is generally interpreted as meaning the Threefold Peace in body, speech, and mind (i.e. peace in the entirety of one’s being).

Hindu teachings typically end with the words Om shanti shanti shanti as an invocation of peace, and the mantra is also used to conclude some Buddhist devotional ceremonies.

day dreaming

Yoga refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India. The word is associated with meditative practices in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Within Hinduism, it also refers to one of the six orthodox (āstika) schools of Hindu philosophy, and to the goal toward which that school directs its practices.[ In Jainism yoga is the sum total of all activities—mental, verbal and physical.
Sanskrit mantra:
vande gurūṇāṁ caraṇāravinde saṁdarśitasvātmasukhāvabodhe
niḥ śreyase jāṅ̇galikāyamāne saṁsāra hālāhala mohaśāntyai
ābāhu puruṣākāraṁ śaṅ̇khacakrāsi dhāriṇam
sahasra śirasaṁ śvetam praṇamāmi patañjalim
I bow to the lotus feet of the gurus,

The awakening happiness of ones own self revealed,
Beyond better, acting like the jungle physician,
Pacifying delusion, the poison of samsara.

Taking the form of a man to the shoulders,
Holding a conch, a discus, and a sword,
One thousand heads white,
To Patanjali, I salute.

Mangala mantra:

svasti prajābhyaḥ paripālayantāṁ nyāyena mārgeṇa mahīṁ mahīśāḥ
gobrāhmaṇebhyaḥ śubhamastu nityaṁ lokāḥ samastāḥ sukhino bhavantu

May prosperity be glorified -
may rulers, (administrators) rule the world with law and justice
may divinity and erudition be protected
May all beings be happy and prosperous.

And finally my favorite part comes.

Namaste is a common spoken greeting or salutation used in India and Nepal. It has multi-religious or else common usage where it may simply mean "I bow to you." The word is derived from Sanskrit namas, to bow, obeisance, reverential salutation, and te, "to you."

When spoken to another person, it is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointed upwards, in front of the chest. This gesture, called Añjali Mudrā, can also be performed wordlessly and carries the same meaning.

Namaste. I bow to you.

Alma Mater

I will dream only of peace, sunrise and sun

This is the way I wanna pray every single day of my life:

Good morning to you,
nourishing Mother,
Wake up, my star, star of the heavens.
World soul,
First breath.
Mother Earth, Mother star,.
Old victim of every war
Beautiful sorrowful Mother,
Answer to the cry of madness.
From tonight,
Mother Earth,
I will only dream of peace, sunrise and sun.
World soul,
God's sign,
Mother Earth, pure star,
Flood oblivion for every life.
Beautiful sorrowful Mother,
Answer to the cry of madness,
And forgive
All errors,
And forgive us.
Mother Earth, shine now,
Raise your cries, your prayer.
Beautiful sorrowful Mother,
Infinite Mother,
Good morning to you,
Mother Earth.

home sweet home

Another aerorplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

rainbows

Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high.
There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops.
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then - oh, why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow,
Why, oh, why can't I?

kissingEr

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me.

serenity

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me...

The bright side of the day

It's not always easy. But that's all we should do in hard times. Looking up to the sky, smile, think how lucky we are even though - of course- we have our problems too. And realize how incredible is our ability to smile each other. Maybe some say that also animals can do that. But, well, how wonderful it is that you are walking, you raise your eyes from the floor, look into the eyes of that little girl/old woman/young guy and smile. He/She would usually smile back to you.

There's a million mouths to feed
And I've got everything I need
I'm breathing
And there's a hurting thing inside
But I've got everything to hide
I'm grieving

Hey hey I saved the world today
Everybody's happy now
The bad things gone away
And everybody's happy now
The good things here to stay
Please let it stay

EiAiEiEi

I've been here this week http://www.aiaa.org/content.cfm?pageid=230&lumeetingid=1811

And that's where you meet working on your same stuff. And that's where you realize how wonderful science can be. And that's when you remember why you chose to do what you are doing :)

evenu shalom alejem

I used to go to Church. Used to believe in God. Used to sing in the chorus. And I used to love this song, but I still do love it.

1. Evenu shalom alejem. (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

2. E sia la pace con noi (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

3. Et la paix soi avec nous (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

4. Und sei der Friede mit uns (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

5. Y sea la paz con nosotros (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

6. Sige la pau con nosoltres (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

7. And the peace be with us (3 volte)
Evenu shalom shalom shalom alejem.

8. Diciamo pace al mondo,
cantiamo pace al mondo,
che la tua vita sia gioiosa,
e il mio saluto - pace -
giunga fino a voi.
