politics evening

We were four friends in a cafe',
who wanted to change the world,
aiming to something more
than a woman and a job bank.
We used to talk with depth
of anarchy and then of freedom.
Between a glass of coke and a coffee
we used to present our 'why'
and to propose our 'I will'.

We were three friends in a cafe',
one had found an employment in a bank.
We can do a lot even just in three
while the others stay at home.
We used to talk in complete honesty
of individuals and solidarity.
Between a glass of wine and a coffee
we used to present our 'why'
and to propose our 'But'.

We were two friends in a cafe',
one had gone with his woman to the seaside.
But we are the strongest,
here we do not need to be many.
We used to talk with tenacity
of hope and opportunities.
Between a glass of whiskey and a coffee
we used to present our 'why'
and to propose our 'it will be'.

I am left alone at the cafe'
the others are all at home
and then today at about 3 pm
four kids came
and sat next to me.
Sitting in front of two cokes and a coffee
I heard them talking.
They have decided to change
this whole world which goes wrong.

We were four friends in a cafe'
who wanted to change the world

and then we'll meet like the stars
drinking whiskey at the Roxy Bar.
Or maybe we will never meet
everyone chasing his troubles.
